Professional designations and work experience for Mark Hawran include: a BA in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University, and an MBA in Finance from Western Michigan University.
Mr. Hawran has over 20 years of professional experience in the Insurance industry, ranging from Agent Sales to Claims, and has been involved at the strategic, operations, planning and consulting level. His most recent experience has been with Operations of a Claims Zone comprising 245 people, and an annual budget of approximately $34 million.
Specific to valuations and appraisals, Mr. Hawran has been involved in valuations of a diverse product line of Recreational Vehicles, including Motor Homes, Travel Trailers, Antique Autos, Marine, and Motorcycles. He has also prepared business valuations for small businesses in Southwest Michigan to facilitate transfer of ownership. Besides the valuation of small businesses, he has assisted business owners with the preparation and interpretation of financial statements for their operations.
After completing an extensive training and testing process in 2019, Mark Hawran was awarded the CMEA designation (Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser) by the NEBB Institute. CMEAs are located throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries; and are used by banks, business development centers, other lending institutions, accountants, lawyers, business buyers/sellers and others to provide certified, defensible financial information for a variety of reasons
